Frequently Asked Questions

At Nucleus Healthcare, we understand that embarking on an international nursing career involves many questions. Below are some frequently asked questions about our TN Visa Program, tailored for  Canadian nurses seeking opportunities in the United States.

What does the general application process entail, and how long does it take?

Our application process consists of three main steps:

Initial Application: Submit a general application to confirm your status as a Registered Nurse and your current employment in an approved hospital.

Pre-Qualification: Complete a pre-qualification form, providing your credentials, including your CV and nursing license.

Clinical Interview: Participate in a clinical interview with a member of our Programs department.

The timeline for these steps can range from two weeks to one month, depending on how promptly each step is completed and our interview availability.

How long does the immigration process take from start to finish?

The overall process can take as little as 6 to 8 weeks - however, the exact timeline depends on various factors and can differ for each nurse. Our team provides continuous updates regarding your process and associated timelines at every stage.

Where do you place your nurses?

We place nurses in hospitals across the United States. Placement locations depend on available openings at our partner facilities, your related work experience, family considerations, and other factors. Our team is dedicated to finding the right fit for each nurse.

Do you require applicants to pass the NCLEX and/or English Exam before applying?

Yes, in order to process in 6 to 8 weeks, we require that the NCLEX and if applicable English Exam are both passed. If you have not yet passed the NCLEX or the required English proficiency exam, we will retain you in our candidate pipeline and support your journey. Once both exams are successfully completed, you’ll be eligible for placement in the U.S. under the TN visa.

Do you charge a fee for your services?

No, we do not charge processing fees. While nurses may incur certain costs throughout the process (such as fees for the CES Report and IELTS), we do not impose additional processing fees or paycheck withholdings.

Can my family immigrate to the U.S. with me?

Yes, your spouse and any unmarried children under the age of 21 may relocate with you to the United States.

We are committed to supporting you throughout your journey to a rewarding nursing career in the United States. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
