In the ancient empires these simple objects really distinguished the have from the have not. There are 2 extremely distinct,extremely rare an early examples of buttons that weren't repeated until a few hundred years after Rome fell. When Rome feel the old provinces plunged into the dark and the act of bathing daily and sewage removal systems were lost until much later.Showing us simple technology that was once lost took generations to reinvent.making it safe for society to rise up once again out of the mud and literal human waste.
